1. What is Kratom?
This sounds like an obvious one, right? You would be surprised how many people who have heard of Kratom don’t really know what it is. Kratom, referred to by scientists as Mitragyna Speciosa, is an evergreen green that actually is part of the coffee family. While it is available in many countries, it can only be grown in a tropical climate. Kratom trees are native to Southeast Asia. Most of the Kratom in the world comes from Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
2. Is Kratom Legal Where I Live?
Kratom is currently legal in most states. It is very important to know before purchasing any Kratom if it is in fact legal where you live. Kratom is legal everywhere in America except for the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Vermont and the District of Colombia. There are a few states where Kratom is legal, with the exception of just a few cities. Kratom is not legal in San Diego, CA or Oceanside, CA. Same goes for Denver, CO and Sarasota, FL. Lastly, Jersey City County, IL and Union County, MS have also banned Kratom. For this reason, we at Karma are unable to ship orders to any of the above cities or states.
3. Does Kratom Need to be Lab-Tested?
Kratom vendors technically don’t ‘need’ to test their Kratom supply, but you should never trust a vendor that doesn’t! In this day and age, lab testing is easy and accessible. Every shipment we receive at Karma is lab-tested to make sure we are only providing the highest quality Kratom on the market. Our labs test for potency, moisture, metals, salmonella as well as any other possible contaminants.
4. What are the Different Types of Kratom?
If you’re new to the Kratom community, your eyes might get dizzy looking at all of the various websites offering so many different strains and veins of Kratom! Kratom trees can actually harvest several types of strains. This can depend on a number of factors, such as which exact region the Kratom is grown. When crushed into a fine powder, some Kratom leaves produce a reddish or even brownish hue, while others run the gamut of green in a variant of shades. While there are many types of Kratom strains, at Karma we keep it simple for the consumer. We simply provide the most popular strains and make sure they are the most potent and pure of any Kratom on the market. At Karma, we offer Green Maeng Da, Green Malay, and Red Bali.
5. How Should Kratom Powder Be Stored?
The best way to store Kratom Powder is in a cool, dry place. Kratom Powders should also not be exposed to bright lights wherever you do store it. For maximum freshness, your Kratom Powder should always be sealed in the packaged from which it was purchased. The best and probably easiest place to store your Kratom Powder is any cupboard or cabinet. Some people have stored their Kratom in the freezer, thinking it would help for longevity, but the jury is still out if that works. If you do store your Kratom in the freezer, definitely check for freezer burn and discard immediately if you find any. But if in my opinion, stick to the tried and true and keep your Kratom Powders in a cabinet and call it a day.
