There are a lot of questions when it comes to Kratom powder, and at Karmaganics we try our best to provide not only premium Kratom but an education to go with it. We get a lot of questions on our social media pages as well as through our customer support. Everything from what exactly is Kratom, to legal status, dosage, etc. In this post, we will answer a few basic questions about Kratom, and then get into some less obvious but still frequently asked questions.
1. What is Kratom Powder?
Surprisingly, this may be the most common question of all! Many people have heard of Kratom and sometimes even those who have been buying Kratom for years don’t always know much about the plant itself. Scientifically known as Mitragyna Speciosa, its leaves comes from an evergreen tree and can only be grown in tropical climates. Kratom originates in Southeast Asia and is botanically classified under the coffee plant. More specifically, most Kratom in the Unites States today is imported from Indonesia and Malaysia.
2. What States Have Banned Kratom?
This is probably the second most popular questions. Kratom Warriors are always at work to preserve our rights to access Kratom. Unfortunately, there are a handful of states and some cities within states that have banned Kratom. As of this writing, here is the current list of places where Kratom is illegal:
Sarasota, Vermont, Wisconsin, San Diego, Oceanside, Indiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Jersey County Illinois, Union County Mississippi, Rhode Island, District of Columbia, Denver Colorado.
3. What is the Strongest Kratom Capsule?
The strongest Kratom capsules available on the market today are extract capsules. These can hold up to 50 times the potency of a regular Kratom powder capsule. Most Kratom extract capsules are Maeng Da blends. MIT 45 currently offers the strongest and most potent Kratom capsules. Sometimes referred to as “rocket fuel,” MIT 45 Gold Capsules will give you the extra potency you’re looking for.
4. What Are the Best Kratom Strains?
The answer to this question may be subjective, but popularity speaks for itself. The most widely available Kratom strains are Green Maeng Da, Green Malay and Red Bali. If you search online, you might get dizzy at looking through all of the different Kratom strains. Outside of the main three mentioned above, the differences between other strains are usually less and less. You can get “strain crazy” trying all sorts of different ones, when it actuality they vary only slightly. Green Maeng Da, Green Malay and Red Bali offer distinctly different alchemy, which is why these are the only three strains we offer.
5. What is Kratom Extract?
Think of Kratom extract as regular Kratom in steroids. Okay, not literally steroids, but a much more concentrated and therefore more potent form of Kratom. In the extraction process, the active alkaloids are taken from the Kratom leaves and condensed into a concentrated liquid that can then be placed inside a capsule or shot. People are fans of Kratom extract because it can offer anywhere between 35 and 50 times the potency of regular Kratom powder. For this reason, you will pay more for extract and get less quantity in return. But don’t be fooled by the amount because you are getting a lot of bang inside a Kratom extract shot or capsule.
6. What is Lab-Testing For?
As we’ve mentioned on our site before, lab-testing is crucial when it comes to Kratom. You shouldn’t trust any vendor that does not lab test their products. We lab test to check not only for potency and purity, but also for moisture, metals, salmonella and other contaminants. Lab-testing protects both the customer and the vendor, so make sure you only buy Kratom that’s gone through rigorous screening!
7. Is Kratom FDA Approved?
Unfortunately no, not yet. In fact, the FDA has waged quite the war on Kratom, calling for it to become a Schedule 1 drug. However, Kratom supporters including the American Kratom Association have called for adequate research to be done and encourage the FDA to follow the science before making any rushed conclusions about Kratom. The fight is ongoing but hopefully in the end, science and common sense prevail and Kratom will continue to be accessible.
8. How Should I Store My Kratom?
The first and most important rule of Kratom is to make sure you store it in a cool, dry place. Any kind of moisture can affect your Kratom. You also want to avoid sunlight and keep it sealed! Spilled Kratom can quickly become spoiled Kratom.
9. What’s the Difference Between Kratom and CBD Oil?
As we mentioned above, Kratom powder is botanically called Mitragyna Speciosa and is classified under the coffee plant. CBD comes from the Cannabis plant and is considered one of dozens of phytocannabinoids that provide therapeutic effects. Two different plants that can serve different purposes and should not be confused with each other.
10. How Can I Help Keep Kratom Legal?
We’ve saved the most important question, for last. The first and easiest thing you can do is to talk about Kratom! There is so much misinformation out there (courtesy of the FDA) that most people outside of the Kratom community have no clue what it’s really all about. The more you talk about it, the greater you are spreading awareness.
To go a step further, consider donating any amount (even if it’s just a dollar!) to the American Kratom Association. They are the flagship organization working tirelessly to protect our rights and access to Kratom.
